Historical Background

The Federal College of Education, Odugbo, Benue State, Nigeria was established Among the six new Federal Colleges of Education in Nigeria by President, Muhammadu Buhari in 2019. Principal Officers were appointed on 16th March, 2021.

The institution was approved by the National Commission for Colleges of Education(NCCE), the Approval covers Six Schools namely;

SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
SCHOOL OF SECONDARY EDUCATION (LANGUAGES)
SCHOOL OF SECONDARY EDUCATION (SCIENCES)
SCHOOL OF SECONDARY EDUCATION (ARTS & SOCIAL SCIENCES)
SCHOOL OF EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE EDUCATION & PRIMARY EDUCATION
SCHOOL OF SECONDARY EDUCATION (VOCATIONAL & TECHNICAL EDUCATION)

The College has numerous course combinations that are offered in the Nigerian Certificate in Education(NCE) program. Pre-NCE programs are also available.

This institution has been approved by Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and has been allowed to admit students.
